Four years ago today we opened SOAR as a brick and mortar building at 850 Legion Rd in Burlington.  There have been so many changes  I want to thank all of our referring clinics and clients for all of your support.

Owning a business is not easy.  The amount of business training we obtain in vet school is very minimal.  I could not have run SOAR without the support of my husband and his mechanically inclined talents, as well as the support from friends and colleagues who have their own clinics.  I have made mistakes along the way and hopefully have learned and grown from them.

Over the last four years we have grown from a 1 1/2 person practice that is open 2 1/2 to 3 days a week, to a staff of 9 that is open 5 1/2 days a week.  We could not have done this without an incredible and hard working staff and devoted and hard working clients!!!  The fact that we are growing rapidly is exciting for veterinary medicine because this means that the awareness of rehabilitation and pain management by veterinarians and the public is becoming more and more widely accepted and sought out!

I have to absolutely thank all of our clients.  For those who have never had a dog with reduced mobility, incontinence, or pain, it is difficult to understand the level of devotion required by these owners.  Not only from a cost perspective but also from the devotion required to support these animals at home.  Sometimes carrying their pets in and outside, carrying them up and down stairs, changing diapers, cleaning up messes, giving medications, performing exercises, and bringing them for regular visits for sometimes extended periods of time.  Today we celebrate entering our 5th year, but we also celebrate our clients who impress me daily, make us smile, and definately make everything that we do here at SOAR worthwhile!!!

Thanks to all of you.....you make me humble and proud to do what I do.

Thanks from Dr. Danielle, Dr. Sherry, Dr. Sophie, Jenna, Emily, Kandis, Michelle, Paige, Cassi and all of our wonderful volunteers!!!!!
